Hardisty Community Charter School delivers the Alberta Programs of Study through its distinct Entrepreneurial Learning Framework. This framework is central to the school’s approved Charter – it is not an optional program or an add-on to traditional instruction.

Students take an active role in their learning through applied projects, leadership opportunities, collaboration, reflection, and real-world problem-solving. They learn from success and develop resilience by adapting when ideas or projects do not go as planned.

Families also play an important role by understanding and supporting this approach. Before registering, families are encouraged to consider whether the school’s applied and entrepreneurial learning model aligns with their expectations for their child’s education.

A change of schools alone may not resolve academic, behavioral, or social challenges a student is experiencing. Families considering HCCS for this reason are encouraged to contact the school to discuss their child’s needs and better understand how the program is delivered.

Instruction and supports may be adapted to meet individual student needs, but the school’s overall educational program remains grounded in the Entrepreneurial Learning Framework.
